Dr. Adam Locker

Adam, a native New Yorker who moved to Boca Raton in 1988, is an audiologist who has a strong passion for CrossFit.  He attended and graduated from the University of Florida and L.S.U. Medical Center.  Adam’s involvement in competitive athletics gave him a background for fitness that he carried well past his college career.  After years of being in the gym he became bored with the same routine of the globo-gyms and eventually lost his motivation for fitness.  In 2009 a friend introduced him to CrossFit and he’s never been the same since.  Adam thrives on helping people achieve their fitness goals through proper nutrition and the strong CrossFit HardCore community.  He founded the CrossFit Hardcore North location in May of 2012.  His greatest passion is watching people transform over time into the athletes they never expected they could become or thought they would be again.  Adam stresses the need for proper form and technique before the wants of weight and speed.  To this day, his most gratifying accomplishments is the growing album of people whom he has helped transform from average to extraordinary.

Rachel “Rae Rae” Locker

Rachel started CrossFit Hardcore in June 2011.  After having two children in less than three years, she was eager to shed her baby weight and get back her pre-baby body.   She began attending CrossFit classes five times a week at The Garage.  She soon became stronger, faster, and her body quickly began to transform. She learned that CrossFit along with a clean, healthy diet is the key to success.

In December 2011 she competed in her first CrossFit competition and realized she enjoyed pushing her body to the extreme. Rachel competes in several competitions a year and placed first in the scaled division in the Boy/Girl Intense Challenge in February 2013.  In addition to CrossFit competitions, Rachel recently completed her first Ragnar race, with her team finishing second place overall in their division.

She received her Level 1 certification in October 2012.  Rachel currently coaches at The Garage and Locker Room.  In August 2013 she became certified as a CrossFit Kids coach to tie together her passion for children and fitness.

When Rachel is not coaching, she is in the classroom, working as a 5th grade elementary school teacher.  She also stays fit by chasing after her two young children.
